The Tony Baron Orchestra
under the direction of Barry Wagner

Barry-WagnerCelebrating it’s 39th anniversary in the music business this October at the World Famous Indiana Roof Ballroom. We invite you to listen and dance to the orchestra that has become one of today’s finest “Sweet Dance Bands”. In 1968, with the help of veteran Chicago bandleader Gay Claridge, a young Tony Barron began with immediate success. They opened at The Aragon Ballroom in the heart of downtown Chicago receiving rave reviews from critics and dancers alike. The band soon became known as “The Sweetest Band In Chicagoland!” playing “The Music Of Yesterday And Today”. Tony continued to lead his band and sing right up until a few months before his death. Eventually, he turned the rights of the band over to his longtime friend and 1st trombonist, Barry Wagner. Tony died on October the 11th, 1998 from a rare blood disease. Today, Barry Wagner continues to lead the orchestra throughout the greater Midwest. The sound and style is basically the same and fans of the orchestra still come out in droves to listen and dance to the band wherever it appears.
